The Hakone Freepass “Hako Ticket” Plus (Odakyu line round-trip ticket include) is sold as a set combining the Digital Hakone Freepass (Odakyu line round-trip ticket include) and the “Hako Ticket.” These Terms and Conditions apply to the issuance and handling of the Hakone Freepass “Hako Ticket” Plus (Odakyu line round-trip ticket include).

 

1. Description

Customers with this ticket may avail themselves of the services of both the “Hako Ticket” and the Digital Hakone Freepass (Odakyu line round-trip ticket include, respectively. Services are as described below.

6. Efficacy

(1) As stipulated in the General Terms and Conditions of Use for Digital Pass and the Digital Hakone Freepass Terms and Conditions, and for those services listed under 1 (1) above, the “HakoTicket,” there are no restriction on the number of times the services can be used within the valid period.

 

(2) Because this is a set combining the Digital Hakone Freepass (Odakyu line round-trip ticket include) and the “Hako Ticket,” “Hako Ticket” will lose its validity at the end of the validity of the Digital Hakone Freepass (Odakyu line round-trip ticket include), regardless of the stipulations of the previous paragraph.

 

7. Refunds

Because this is sold as a set combining the Digital Hakone Freepass (Odakyu line round-trip ticket include) and the “Hako Ticket,” individual refunds cannot be made for these products. Refunds are handled as shown below.

 

(1) Before start of trip

Passengers may obtain refunds by using the EMot app provided by Odakyu Electric Railway Co., Ltd. or via the EMot Online Ticket website. Amount remaining after deduction of a 220 yen per ticket refund fee will be refunded only within the valid period of both the Digital Hakone Freepass (Odakyu line round-trip ticket include) and the “Hako Ticket” and prior to start of use.

 

(2) After start of trip

(i) Prior to start of use of the “Hako Ticket,” and only when a request for refund is made between the outbound station and Hakone-Yumoto Station, normal passenger fare for the section actually traveled will be collected at the station where the request is made. The remaining amount after deducting a 220 yen per ticket refund fee will be refunded upon request by the passenger to the call center.

 

(ii) When a request is made due to suspension of service caused by inclement weather, etc., a refund will be made without charge upon request by the passenger to the call center only if the means of transport in question have not been used during the valid period. Note that refund amounts are as shown below.

8. Place of refund

(1) Before start of trip

Passengers may obtain refunds by using the EMot app provided by Odakyu Electric Railway Co., Ltd. or via the EMot Online Ticket website.

 

(2) After start of trip

Passengers may request a refund through the call center.

9. Transfer

(1) The Hakone Freepass “Hako Ticket” Plus Odakyu line round-trip ticket include) may be transferred according to the method stipulated in the EMot Terms of Service and the General Terms and Conditions of Use for Digital Pass.

 

(2) Regardless of the Digital Hakone Freepass Terms and Conditions, because the Hakone Freepass “Hakone Ticket” Plus (Odakyu line round-trip ticket include is sold as a set combining the Digital Hakone Freepass (Odakyu line round-trip ticket include) and the “Hako Ticket,” neither of these products may be transferred separately.

 

10. Handling of Digital Hakone Freepass (Odakyu line round-trip ticket include)

(1) Handling of the Digital Hakone Freepass (Odakyu line round-trip ticket include) is governed by the Digital Hakone Freepass Terms and Conditions as stipulated separately by Odakyu Electric Railway Co., Ltd. However, refunds and boarding changes shall be handled as stipulated in these Terms and Conditions.

 

(2) Boarding change requests made for an outbound journey are not accommodated; in the event of a request on an inbound journey, normal passenger fare will be collected separately for the changed section.

 

11. Others

(1) Some facilities may offer a discount upon presentation of the Digital Hakone Freepass (Odakyu line round-trip ticket include). Please contact the specific facility for details. Facilities offering discounts are subject to change.

 

(2) Please check each facility’s website for information on business hours and other details of facilities available for use with the Hakone Freepass “Hako Ticket” Plus.

 

(3) Matters not stipulated in these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the Passenger Operation Regulations, the Digital Hakone Freepass Terms and Conditions, the provisions of the EMot Terms of Service and the General Terms and Conditions of Use for Digital Pass as stipulated separately by Odakyu Electric Railway Co., Ltd.

６ Efficacy

In addition to the provisions of the General Terms of Use for Digital Pass, the pass is valid only for one round trip between the boarding station and Odawara station on the Odakyu lines, and there is no restriction on the route or the number of times you can travel within the Hakone area beyond Odawara Station, as long as the pass is valid. However, upon completion of travel at the final destination station, the ticket will cease to be effective upon performing the exit operation of the electronic ticket.

７ Stopover

No restrictions

８ Change of traveling section

1)If offered on outward journey

The remaining amount after subtracting the normal passenger fare for the actual traveled section from the already collected passenger fare will be refunded.
*NOTE: Customers will be asked to purchase a new “Digital Hakone Freepass (new ticket)” from new departing station, after paying the fare for the actual journey at the station. The full amount of the “Digital Hakone Freepass (old ticket)” will be refunded without charge upon request by the customer to the call center.

2)If offered on return journey

A separate normal passenger fare will be collected for the changed section.

９ Optional ticket “Bun-jou-shou”

1)

When a passenger holding a Digital Hakone Freepass that departs from Shinjuku Station requests to use the ODAKYU Highway Bus between Shinjuku Station and Tomei Gotemba, Gotemba Premium Outlets® or HOTEL CLAD , an optional ticket "Bun-jou-shou" will be issued and the passenger will be allowed to board the bus.

2)Place of sale

Hakone Tozan Bus Togendai Information Center / Sengoku Information Center, ODAKYU Highway Bus Gotemba Office, Odakyu Travel (excluding some stores)、Fujisan Gotemba / Hakone Tourist Information Center, Izu Hakone Bus Hakone-en Information Center, Hakone Venetian Glass Museum,, Shinjuku Highway Bus Terminal (Busta Shinjuku) however, a crew member can sell if the passenger requests it at the time of boarding.

3)Passenger fare

Shinjuku station to Tomei Gotemba (one-way)

１０ Refunds

1)Before start of trip

A handling fee of 220 yen per card will be deducted and the remaining amount will be refunded.

2)After start of trip

1. Only when a request is made between the outbound boarding station and Hakone-Yumoto station, the fare for the actual traveled section will be paid at the requesting station, and the remaining amount after deducting a handling fee of 220 yen per ticket will be refunded upon request by the customer to the call center.
2. In the event of cancellation due to inclement weather, etc., a refund will be made without charge as long as the transportation service has not been used during the validity period. The refund amount is shown in the table below. [unit：yen]

１１ Place of refund

The ticket will be refunded to the customer through the "EMot" application and "EMot Online Ticket" website provided by Odakyu Electric Railway.

2)After start of trip / Change of trains (onward journey)

Refunds will be made upon request by the customer to the call center.

１２ Others

• Some facilities offer discounts when you present your Digital Hakone Freepass. Please inquire at each facility for discount details. Facilities that offers discount is subject to change.
• Other issues regarding the use of ticket, will be subject to the provisions of the Passenger Operation Regulations and the EMot Terms of Service and General Terms of Use for Digital Pass.
